Shade
Tea rows under black shade cloth at dawn, a green volcano over the sea

Shaded in Kagoshima. Reserved for you.

Free. Dropped at your café from 1 January 2027.

Tea rows under black shade cloth, new leaves showing between them

Thirty days in the shade. That's where the green comes from.

Before picking, farmers cover the rows for up to 30 days. Starved of sun, the leaf floods with chlorophyll for that vivid green, and holds on to its L-theanine, the sweet amino acid that sunlight would turn bitter.

A tea field seen from the veranda of an old farmhouse
A granite tea mill in a tatami room, the tea field through the open doors

From their field to your counter.

Every bag will carry the estate's name and the family who grew it.

A glass of milk and ice on a café counter, green matcha about to pour

Chosen by hand each season. Sent straight to your whisk.

Every harvest, we'll taste the season's lots and keep only the ones that stay bright green over milk and ice, with no bitter edge.

Three matchas. Turn one over.

Not yet. We're taking reservations now, and we're delivering from April 2027. Tasting is free, and so is reserving. Holding your kilos with a deposit is optional, and it's refundable before your first delivery.

What's the minimum?

2 kg a month for each lot you reserve. From 10 kg a month, ask us for a quote.

What if I don't like it?

Then don't reserve. If a lot fails its lab test, it won't ship, and you'll get the next one that passes or that month's money back.
